Billy Clapper

A former college player at Youngstown State University who has been devoted to sharing his message of hard work and determination. Those two traits were the building blocks that took him from being a high school role player to a Division I walk-on. He is entering his 9th year speaking at, working, and directing basketball camps in the Eastern United States. He began his coaching career as an Assistant Coach at Penn State University-Altoona. There he helped head coach Alan Seretti lay the foundation for the future.

He then moved on to Indiana State University where he was a member of Coach Royce Waltman's coaching staff. The Sycamores went on to defeat three teams that advanced to the NCAA tournament: Butler, Creighton, and Purdue. He is currently an Assistant Men's Basketball  Coach at the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown. The Mountain cats are a member of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and won the regular season conference championship during the 2008-2009 season. They finished with a 23-8 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II tournament.   At 25, he has earned a reputation of being an excellent instructor of perimeter skills and guard play.

 

  

Bruce Cafferty

His efforts in the development of Billy Clapper Basketball have helped the company reach very high expectations. His efforts have included assisting with the planning of the basketball training video, clothing line, and several basketball camps. His sports experience includes serving as a successful youth coach and competing as a collegiate football player at the College of William & Mary.

  

 Tyler Smith

A former college standout at Penn State University; he has been vital in establishing Billy Clapper Basketball.  He was a two-year starter for the Nittany Lions and helped them reach the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA tournament his junior season.  He was the producer and director of the instructional basketball video "Ball handling At Is Best". Tyler has played professional basketball for 6 seasons. He has spent time in countries such as Argentina, Holland, Italy, and Uruguay. In the fall of 2006, he participated in his first NBA training camp as a member of the Utah Jazz. Tyler then spent the season with the NBDL's Anaheim Arsenal.
